NVG Trans Kft. has been in road haulage since 1996, and for years we have been providing oversized transport and heavy machinery transport from our base in Jászberény, both within Hungary and right across Europe. We make regular runs to Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium – and, of course, to any destination in Hungary, whether that is Budapest, Pest County, Szolnok or just across the border.
If your load won’t fit on a standard lorry – because it is too wide, too tall, too long or too heavy – we take care of the whole process: we choose the right low-loader, plan the route, obtain the Hungarian and foreign route permits, arrange the escort and make sure the load is professionally secured. All you need to do is give us the details of your cargo.
All jobs are run with our own Renault tractor units and our own trailers: our flatbed mega platform takes loads up to 20.5 m long, our step-frame low-loader carries machines up to 3.8 m high thanks to its low deck, and our ramp low-loader lets self-propelled machinery drive straight on. Our extendable-width curtainsider handles loads up to 3 m wide, our extendable trailer takes long lengths, and the payload can be up to 32 tonnes.
We have our own escort vehicle, so there is no waiting around for an outside provider – your abnormal load can set off exactly as scheduled. If a police escort is required, we arrange that too.
We know that a construction machine may need to be on the next site tomorrow, and that installing a production line can’t wait for weeks. That is why we respond to quote requests quickly, handle permits in parallel and, in urgent cases, look for the fastest possible solution. If loading and unloading dates don’t coincide, we can store your machine safely at our secure site in Jászberény.

Large oversized loads travel on the route and in the time window set out in the official permit – often at night, when traffic is light. Our own escort vehicle follows the rig all the way, warns other road users and coordinates the passage through junctions.
So there is no waiting for an external escort service, and your transport can leave exactly as planned.

If the vehicle and its load exceed any of the general limits, the transport is oversized or overweight and requires a route permit. In Hungary, permits for national roads are issued by Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt.; abroad, by the competent authority of each country. The permit sets the route, the time of travel and the type of escort.

A transport is oversized (or overweight) if the vehicle and its load together exceed the general road traffic limits. In Hungary these are 2.55 m width, 4.00 m height, 16.5 m length for an articulated vehicle and 40 tonnes gross weight. In that case a route permit is required, and for larger deviations an escort as well. Typical oversized loads include construction and agricultural machinery, industrial equipment, steel structures and long materials.
Yes. In Hungary, route permits for national roads are issued by Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt.; abroad, by the competent authority of each country. We arrange all permits – all you need to give us are the exact details of the load.
In simpler domestic cases the permit is issued electronically, sometimes within a few hours; for most transports it typically takes 1–3 working days. For larger oversize dimensions or international routes the process can take longer, so it is worth letting us know as early as possible. If it is urgent, just tell us – we apply for the permits in parallel to speed things up.
Whether an escort is needed, and what kind, is set by the permit based on the width, length and weight of the load – larger loads need an escort vehicle, and particularly large ones may require a specialist or police escort. We have our own escort vehicle, so there is no waiting for an external escort, and we arrange a police escort when required.
The price depends mainly on the distance, the size and weight of the load, the type of trailer, the permits and whether an escort is needed. As a market guide: in Hungary heavy machinery transport typically costs around HUF 350–1,100 per km (excl. VAT), and international transport roughly €1.80–3.00 per km; short machine moves often carry a call-out or minimum charge. On top of this come the route permit fee (HUF 7,000–58,500), a distance-based overweight fee for overweight vehicles, and the cost of the escort and any crane loading.

With our trailers we can carry loads up to 20.5 m loading length and up to 3 m wide, and with the low-bed trailer up to 3.8 m load height; the load can weigh up to 32 tonnes. For larger or unusual loads, please request a quote too – we have solutions for exceptional jobs as well.
Self-propelled machines (excavators, loaders, tractors, lifts) are driven up a ramp or onto the low-bed trailer. Non-self-propelled loads are loaded at the shipper’s site by crane or forklift – if needed, we can help organise crane loading too. We take care of securing the load properly.
We operate throughout Hungary and regularly transport to Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium – and to other European countries on request.
Yes. Our yard in Jászberény is guarded, so if the loading and unloading dates do not line up, we keep your machine safe.
