Press release on the project launch

Comprehensive development to help N.V.G-Trans Kft. adapt to modern business challenges

NVG-Trans Kft was founded in 1996. Domestic and international freight transport is a key strategic business line within the company’s activities, and since 2019 it has also expanded its fleet with machinery suitable for transporting oversized loads. The company also carries out vehicle inspections and, thanks to its well-equipped premises, its customers can choose from its tyre fitting, wheel alignment and vehicle sales services. The business employs 36 people and, in response to the unexpected situation created by COVID, wishes to diversify its operations by creating a hall on its own site, converting a sheep barn into a tyre-fitting workshop, together with an associated solar power installation, cloud services and training.

To achieve this goal, N.V.G -Trans Kft was awarded funding under the call GINOP_PLUSZ-1.2.3-21 - A mikro-, kis- és középvállalkozások modern üzleti és termelési kihívásokhoz való alkalmazkodását segítő fejlesztések támogatása a leghátrányosabb helyzetű régiókban (Support for developments helping micro, small and medium-sized enterprises adapt to modern business and production challenges in the most disadvantaged regions) for its project proposal ” Comprehensive development to help N.V.G-Trans Kft adapt to modern business challenges”.

Sheep barn to be renovated – exterior

Physical work on the project began on 18 March 2022 with the signing of the general contractor agreement, and the project was completed on 23 February 2024.

As part of the hall development, a 900 m2 sheep barn will be fully converted into a tyre-fitting workshop and warehouse building; in addition, 52 solar panels with a total output of 19.24 kW will be installed, and adaptation to modern business services will be supported by Microsoft 365 and related training for 3 employees. The converted building will enable the company to carry out tyre repairs on lorries and tractor units for itself and its partners, as the vehicles can be kept under cover. This significant development will readily deliver a one-and-a-half-fold increase in gross value added through higher revenue and lower material costs. The current sheep barn will be transformed into a proper hall in which tyre fitting can be carried out even on large lorries. Moving such large and heavy loads will be facilitated by the JCB loader to be purchased. The company already owns smaller JCB machines and its staff know how to operate them, but these heavy handling tasks require the dimensions of a JCB 20 X LC tracked excavator and loader.

The new building will enable diversification

The project is being implemented under the Széchenyi Terv Plusz (Széchenyi Plan Plus) programme. The non-repayable EU grant awarded amounts to HUF 125 million towards a total cost of HUF 179 million, with the company providing HUF 54 million of its own funds for the development at Jászberény, Alsómuszáj 66.

Interior of the building to be renovated

The site is company-owned and available, and the expertise is in place, since the company has been fitting tyres for some time; however, without a dedicated facility we were unable to carry out this activity in a modern business environment. The company’s financial indicators have risen steadily over the past 25 years, its headcount is stable and its fleet keeps growing. The company aims to turn this stability into growth through diversification.
